The world of work is changing rapidly. Baby boomers are retiring in such high numbers that it has been termed a Silver Tsunami with no slowdown in the foreseeable future. Older millennials are finding their footing in leadership roles and now we have the youngest millennials positioned for the next wave of leadership. We have moved into a time in which the definition of leadership itself has shifted. The days of authoritative leadership have given way to a need for agile leadership.

In order to set the foundation for strong future leaders, it is essential to take an inside-out approach to professional development. Employees who excel in technical skills do not necessarily have the innate capabilities to lead well. However, these skills can be learned. This presentation will provide a foundation to learn how to start building agile leaders.

Join us as Angie Tinnell, President of Meridian Resources, Inc., helps us to understand the importance of developing emerging leaders for succession planning using an inside-out approach.  Angie will also share with us key areas of professional development on which to focus, will help us learn to identify and develop competency gaps for on-going development, and will review indicators to help identify which of your employees is most likely to succeed in leadership positions.

*Please note: This will be a hybrid meeting. We will have in-person and virtual attendees. On the registration form there will a field asking whether you plan to attend virtually or in person. Please select the appropriate answer. For virtual attendees, a meeting link will be emailed to you one day prior to the event.*
